The Erection of the Cock
In 2004, two Portuguese-American brothers transformed a desolate 3-bedroom apartment into a party mecca for free-spirited backpackers and so was erected the first authentic party hostel in Lagos, Portugal: The Rising Cock. “There were bodies sleeping everywhere - on the floor, on the couch, under a hammock, on a balcony, or even on a freezer!” recalls an early guest.
